So many times, we try different solutions, techniques, mantras, and practices to overcome our fears and stop overthinking. Anxiety can be like a runaway train with no breaks and no opportunity to get off. Fear can be so paralyzing and engulfing that we feel stuck to a chair like the seatbelt lock is on. But what all these outcomes have in common is they start with a thought and then a trail of thoughts that lead to a demoralizing place. Instead of focusing on deconstructing the train track of the fear roller-coaster, what if we stopped it before it even was a thought. What if our fear and overthinking are just signs we're not busy enough and have too much time, so we imagine scenarios just to spice up life?

Now let me get this straight: you need to identify whether the fear and overthinking you deal with are because of your responsibilities or the lack of more valuable priorities. This article will touch on the latter. It is okay to feel fear and tend to overthink big decisions that have a massive impact on your career or life. However, when it comes to social fear and anxiety, maybe we just don't have big enough priorities. It's easy to worry about what they think when you don't have a dream or goal you're betting on. Everyone has a dream, but have you truly put yourself in a position to risk it for the biscuit?
Now, this is a careful balance. We want to avoid being so engulfed with hoping the deal we negotiated, the exam we took, or the product we bought works out that we miss out on the best parts of life. However, we want to prioritize what we want for our lives over our care for how people view us. We must give our brains something to think about rather than allow them to find something. Naturally, our attention and thoughts will hook on to whatever it's easiest to find to entertain ourselves. In many cases, fear is easy to fall into.

Sometimes, anxiety and fear are just ourselves attempting to care about ourselves. We are subconsciously showing ourselves that we care and are displaying it by protecting our social standing or reputation. So the heart and fuel behind this is genuine, just misplaced. Now imagine that same fuel and drive for dopamine, getting its source from buying an asset that moves us closer to an important goal. This form of investing in yourself not only raises what you think about but also gives you the courage to put yourself further out there. Who cares what others think about you when you have more extensive thoughts and opinions in your mind?
So when we look at fear and overthinking, instead of looking at it like a fire that needs to be extinguished, let's look at it like energy, looking for a train to fuel. Create that training for yourself, but it needs to be genuinely done and with discipline. You must find what clicks for you, which often requires multiple goals. But when your brain gets busy imagining, and you give it the right tools to make that come true, you won't fear losing yourself to a crowd- your schedule, where you've spent your money, and what you've done already will anchor you to who you are.
